Maximize Incentives with Step Compliance
At Thrive Energy, we offer a range of services to ensure your construction project is compliant with BC Energy Step Code.
We check every project to see if it’s already meeting higher Step Code tiers. Your project may already be at Step 4 without incurring any extra costs. We want to see every project claim their eligible rebates.
$15,000 per door is available through Fortis BC for reaching Step 4, $20,000 for reaching Step 5 (some conditions apply).
Pre-Construction Compliance
Our Pre-Construction Compliance Reports ensure your project meets requirements from the start, and that you get your building permits without delay. 3 business day turn around for single-family dwellings and we do quote matching. There’s no reason not to choose Thrive Energy.
Mid-Construction Blower Door Testing
We check air sealing, and perform air leakage identification. Thermal imaging is conducted, if applicable (up to 2 hours on site). A Mid-Construction Compliance Report is provided after modelling is complete with summary of findings and recommendations.
As-Built Compliance Testing
This is the final blower door testing, confirmation of assemblies and mechanicals, energy modelling for compliance reports & subsequent occupancy permitting.
Our deliverables include the As-Built Compliance Report, Energuide Label for the electrical panel and Homeowner Information Sheet for the Homeowner Binder. The latter two documents can be very useful for a home’s re-sale value.
CSA F280-12 Room-by-Room Heat Load Calculations
We offer accurate, New Construction CSA standard F280-12 Room-by-Room Heat Load Calculations, as well as Retrofit Block Load Calculations (room-by-room can be completed here as well, as required).
Integrated Design Process
Thrive Energy is certified in Integrated Design Process. A choice to perform an Integrated Design is a choice to save on cost and hiccups that happen when design is compartmentalized without consideration to the house as a system. The house is in fact a system and should be planned accordingly.
Fortis BC currently offers $1000 for using an Integrated Design Process facilitator.
Fortis BC Rebates for Step 4 and 5
Fortis BC is offering $15,000 per door for projects meeting Step 4 metrics and $20,000 per door for projects meeting Step 5 metrics.
