Pre-Construction Compliance

Who is eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Loan?
To be eligible, you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, own your home, and it must be your primary residence. You must also complete a pre-retrofit energy evaluation.
What is a CSA F280-12 heat load calculation?
CSA F280-12 is a Canadian standard that ensures heat loss and gain calculations are accurate and compliant. It helps determine the correct size of heating and cooling systems for a home.

Mid-Construction Blower Door Testing
We check air sealing, and perform air leakage identification. Thermal imaging is conducted, if applicable (up to 2 hours on site). A Mid-Construction Compliance Report is provided after modelling is complete with summary of findings and recommendations.
What types of upgrades are eligible for the loan?
Eligible retrofits include solar & batterty stoage, insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, air sealing, and more—as long as they are recommended in your energy evaluation.
What documents do you require for a Heat Load Calculation?
You’ll need floor plans, insulation details, window/door specs, and HVAC system preferences. We’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed.
